Two Brothers and a Fight chapter 15

Simon sat in the waiting room, praying that Alvin would survive. Alvin had code blued in the ambulance, and though they had managed to start it again, Simon knew Alvin might not pull through.

The nurse had let him call home and let Dave know what happened. Dave was upset that Simon had ran off, but was more worried about Alvin's condition. Unfortunetly, the roads were closed due to the storm. It was a miracle that the police and paramedics had come looking for them. Dave wouldn't be able to make it to the hospital until the storm ended.

Simon thought back to the last look he'd had at his baby brother. Alvin's face had been deathly pale and his breathing had come in ragged gasps. Even though they'd tried during the long, slow drive to the hospital, the paramedics hadn't been able to stop the bleeding.

Simon glanced at the clock again. Two hours had passed since Alvin had been taken into the emergency room. He still hadn't heard anything.

Finally, the doctor came out.
